Test of English Proficiency (TEP) Scheduling

Below you will see dates with available testing slots indicated by the word OPEN. If you have completed and submitted your application and payment, proceed with your request. If you have not, please review BEI testing information on this website.

Group Testing: Group testing will be held in the MCDHH Conference Room. Dividers will be set up for privacy.

Scheduling: Please look through the dates and times and choose 2-3 open slots that accommodate your schedule. Send an email to mcdhh@mcdhh.mo.gov with an email titled: BEI Test Scheduling. Include your name, city you are traveling from, and the slots you are interested in beginning with your strongest preference. Your application and payment will be confirmed and then your request will be answered with an email including your time slot information, confirmation number, and any other communication necessary for you in preparation for your exam.

Requests must be made 30 days in advance of testing slot requested to ensure information is processed and out of state checks are completed. The schedule will be updated every 48 hours except on weekends and holidays. Last update: 1/2/2026

MCDHH realizes that there are times when a person is traveling in for the exam and, if they pass the TEP exam, they would like the opportunity to proceed with the BEI BASIC Performance test. MCDHH is willing to do this on a limited basis as only one test can be proctored in the afternoon. If you are interested in this opportunity, please indicate that when you submit your 9:00-11:00 testing slot preferences and MCDHH will try and accommodate you as best we can.
