If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, a mental health crisis, or a substance abuse crisis, you can access the 988 hotline in several ways.
- VideoPhone: Dial 988 on your VP
- Desktop or Laptop: Visit 988’s webpage for Deaf and Hard of Hearing users and scroll down to find the ASL Now button.
- Chat or Text: Visit 988’s webpage for chat and text and follow the instructions to start a conversation with your preferred chat method.
- Through TTY: Using your preferred service provider, dial 711 and then dial 988.

The mission of All Hands On is to foster relationships between Deaf and Emergency Managers in preparing for disaster. Standard Community Emergency Response Basic Training (CERT) is a FEMA training program open to all citizens. Participants learn how to become volunteers in times of emergency and disaster.

The Red Cross Home Fire Smoke Alarm campaign is currently suspended due to COVID. However, you can make a request at the website above, and they will contact you when the program is restarted.
General information on how you can plan for emergencies, where you can volunteer in case of emergencies, and upcoming events throughout the state. Also links to contact your local (town or county) emergency management agencies.
