Interp. WS: Management of Three Diseased States

Workshop/Course Description:
This workshop is designed as a thorough overview of the three most common disease state. Covering
information from symptoms, onset, lifestyle triggers, medication, medication management, diagnosis
and much more. Participants will get an opportunity to learn more terminology and contextual
information related to these three disease states.

Educational Objectives: 
*Define and describe hypertension, diabetes and hypercholesterolemia.
*Discuss the prevalence and etiology of hypertension, diabetes and hypercholesterolemia.
*Review treatment guidelines for hypertension, diabetes and hypercholesterolemia with an emphasis on
medication management.
*Describe common medications used in the treatment of hypertension, diabetes and hypercholesterolemia
including:
–Mechanism of action
–Side effects
