Interp. WS: CYC: Change Your Energy, Change Your Life

Workshop/Course Description:

As interpreters we want to deliver the message ethically and neutrally. This
course teaches us how our energy affects the environment; positive or negative. And teaches techniques to
avoid absorbing negative energy in our environments and how positive energy maintains our neutrality. This
workshop is an enlightening and inspiring ride that reveals 10 rules for approaching life and work drawing
inspiration from “The Energy Bus.” No one goes through life without facing ethical challenges. The
outcome is determined by our energy – positive or negative. Using positive, forward energy we can impact
the experience for all consumers (deaf, interpreter, hearing). Participants will learn practical techniques
about how their energy affects environments and outcomes. This transformative workshop is designed to
equip students with the tools and mindset needed for long-term success. You will be guided through
interactive exercises with expert mentoring.

Educational Objectives:

1. Develop a deeper understanding of the impact of mindset and energy.

2. Acquire practical tools and strategies inspired by “The Energy Bus” to objectively identify and filter energy.

3. Explore ethical dilemmas in a supportive community where participants can exchange insights, shared experiences, and collectively brainstorm solutions to common
challenges.

4. Empower community members to implement sustainable practices that promote longevity, fulfillment, and access.
