The Missouri Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing initiates legislation beneficial to deaf and hard of hearing Missourians and advocates for its passage. MCDHH also assists the legislature and other state agencies in the development of non-statutory public policies positively affecting people with hearing loss. The office also ensures that the community remains informed of updates on hearings and votes on pending legislation. While the Governor’s Office does not endorse specific bills, Deaf and hard of hearing Missourians are encouraged to get involved, be informed, and make their concerns known to their elected officials.
