Conference Availability: As a Student Representative, you should be available to work the full conference (Thursday through Saturday) and attend the Student Representative Orientation meeting Thursday, October 4 before the Keynote Presentation (time is subject to change; meeting may be held virtually before conference).
Expectations: As a Student Representative, you should dress and conduct yourself professionally during the entire conference. Remember that you are not only representing your school, but also MCDHH. You will introduce conference presenters and handle distribution of CEUs to participants. In exchange for your services, you will receive complimentary conference registration. You will be responsible for your own hotel accommodations; there will be a special conference rate available at [WILL THIS APPLY? (Yes if we negotiate with hotel]. You will receive a confirmation email once the application has been received.
Application: Due to the limited number of spots available for Student Representatives, all students interested must submit an application and letter of reference by a faculty member from the program they attend. By March 1st, 2023, please complete this form and send both documents to either email or hard copy to: Missouri Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing MICS Coordinator, Shanda Miller 3216 Emerald Lane, Suite B Jefferson City, MO 65109 Email: Shanda.Miller@mcdhh.mo.gov
Registration: Do NOT send in payment for student registration if you are applying to be a student representative. The Early Bird rate will be honored for those that are not selected to be a representative for this year’s conference.
